Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Application) to provide subject matter expertise around technical infrastructure for the various domains in Application Infrastructure Operation Systems, Middleware, Database, Storage/Back-up, Virtualization and Cloud technologies.
Work with various application teams to onboard their business applications onto their cloud infrastructure environment and in support of various digital transformation activities.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics Engineering;
- At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing and/or setting up cloud infrastructure;
- Technical background in different infrastructure areas like VMWare, AWS, Google Cloud;
- Strong understanding of IaaS, SaaS, PaaS or XaaS and the integration with public clouds;
- Good experience in Cloud Computing platforms ( AWS, Azure, Google Cloud );
- Experience with Cloud Service Provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud;
- Familiar with system migration, performance-tuning, deployment and troubleshooting IT operational and post project migration issues;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels within the organization;
- Self-motivated, independent, meticulous and at the same time, a good team player.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Cloud Certifications;
- AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate;
- Microsoft Azure Architect Design;
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Part of the infrastructure team to upkeep, strengthen and build new infrastructure services, in tandem with ongoing or new cloud and digital adoption goals;
- Drive, monitor and oversee Application Infrastructure services and assign resources to ensure smooth operations;
- Work with the various internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement the end-to-end infrastructure (cloud) solution;
- Design and architect cloud (private, public, hybrid) based infrastructure solutions to meet both the business objectives and security compliance;
- Provide technical advisory, assistance and recommendations for proof of concept (POC) to accelerate the adoption of leading-edge technologies;
- Review, support and endorse infrastructure architecture, infrastructure resource planning, infrastructure performance and system hosting environment focusing on Hardware Infrastructure, Operating Systems, Virtualization, Storage and Backup in support of new application systems;
- Provide project security advisory and ensure overall compliance to security policies in the areas of Security Acceptance Tests, Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Tests and Security Audits;
- As the Project Manager – accountable for the timely and smooth execution of the digital projects (by providing periodic updates to management.
