We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to support the maintenance and implementation of systems within a large organization.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure;
- Proficiency in effectively administering critical software and tools such as Windows Active Directory, Symantec Endpoint Protection, VMware, Veeam Backup, SolarWinds, and Ivanti is required;
- Hands-on experience in managing both Linux Server and Windows Server is expected;
- Strong technical skills in LAN/WAN, encompassing server configuration and troubleshooting, as well as expertise in hardware management for storage and tape libraries are prerequisites;
- A comprehensive understanding of networking technologies, such as Fortinet, Sophos and Cisco switch, router, and firewall;
- The ability to work independently and have a self-driven work ethic.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Has CCNA or Network+ certification.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, configuration, testing, and support for IT system implementation projects;
- Manage various IT operations, such as servers, active directory, backups, virtualization, storage and other infrastructure related tools;
- Comprehend the architecture and design of the customer's IT system;
- Conduct on-site troubleshooting for system issues;
- Maintain communication and coordination with IT vendors to ensure service level delivery and resolve infrastructure and hardware problems;
- Collaborate with IT vendors on the execution of projects;
- Thrive in time-sensitive environments, showcasing excellent prioritization skills;
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
