We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Support Engineer to work in banking industry.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • At least 3 years of experience in production support;
  • Strong SQL skills with on SQL server/Oracle databases;
  • Experience in writing batch/shell scripts;
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Good understanding of incident and problem management;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Ability to work in shifts and provide 24/7 operational support;

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Experience in Actimize and Java;
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies;


  • Provide 24/7 or on-call operational support for all production practices including weekends;
  • Manage incidents and problems, troubleshoot and solve production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack;
  • Monitor production systems and job scheduling to ensure SLAs are met;
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in the system and work to resolve these issues before they become a problem;
  • Continuously improve the system to meet SRE standards, such as job automation, performance tuning, and toil reduction;
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and releases;
  • Write and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles;
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to critical issues in a timely manner.
