We are looking for a strong leader to lead the team to run Data-Centre Operations & Management with a global top 10 e-commerce company in Singapore.
 

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Demonstrate ability to lead the teams to support, enhance and manage enterprise-scale, mission-critical IT Facilities operations;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as Data Centre Operations Manager supporting Tier – III or above environments;
  • Experience in operations, maintenance & repair of infrastructure including power distribution, emergency generators, UPS systems, PDU's, chillers, pumps, CRAC units, Building Automation System, along with other components related to Power & HVAC support;
  • Hands on experience in Vendor Management, Server consolidation through virtualization;
  • Good understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices;
  • Good understanding of structured network cabling and rack management within the Data Center;
  • Familiar with virtualization technology (VMware vSphere, IBM PowerVM hypervisors);
  • Strong knowledge of incident, problem, and change management procedures;
  • Good analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills;
  • Strong personal work ethic with an aptitude for analysis and problem solving;
  • Available in 24×7 environment with on-call responsibilities;

Desirable Skill(s)

  • ITIL certification;
  • Data Centre related certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop and maintain Mission Critical IT Facilities  strategies, roadmaps, availability and performance metrics;
  • Work closely with business owners to assist in developing and managing IT Facilities budget, including engagement in proposals, procurement, invoicing and leasing;
  • Responsible for all equipment housed within Data Centers and ELV Rooms are sufficiently monitored, maintained and supported;
  • Responsible for creation, maintenance and governance of IT Facilities standards and procedures, including internal and regulatory audit;
  • Managing 3rd party supplier relationships for operational, maintenance and project requirements;
  • Manage rapid growth within the Data Centers, giving consideration to energy efficiency, cooling costs, demand and capacity management;
  • Work closely with Facilities, Security and Surveillance teams to ensure optimal operation of electricity, HVAC, and monitoring environments within Data Centers and ELV rooms;
  • Management of Data Center rack inventory;
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery strategic planning, build and execution, including annual DR tests;
  • Responsible for prividing reports/metrics on monthly basis on Data Center environments for management;
  • Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
